The ABB Harmony Modular Power System II is designed with flexibility in mind and can be easily adapted to application requirements.
When using two power supplies, the Modular Power System II can be divided into two sections, each housing four power supply modules. This 2N split architecture provides the highest level of performance. Each part provides only 50% range under normal conditions, but can achieve 100% range under fault conditions. The reduced stress at 50% capacity extends the lifespan.While only one power supply is required to safely power the Modular Power System II, the two parts of the combined architecture are locked together to provide an N+x power supply architecture. Each power module is powered from a single source and evenly distributes the load. The ABB IPMON01 Symphony power monitor module is available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group after the end of life (EOL) from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
