Functional Description
IS200TREGH1B is a turbine emergency terminal block manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI series for gas turbine control systems. Three emergency trip solenoids are powered by the TREG and managed by an I/O controller. The TREG terminal block and the TRPG terminal block can be connected to accommodate up to three trip solenoids. The TRPG provides the negative terminal of the DC power supply to the solenoid valves, and the TREG provides the positive terminal. The 12 relays on the TREG are controlled by the I/O controller, and three groups of nine relays provide voting control for the three trip solenoid valves, as well as emergency overspeed protection and emergency stop operation.
For 125v DC applications, the H1B is the most common variant. A combination of diodes is used for control power from the JX1, JY1, and JZ1 connectors to generate redundant power on board for the status feedback circuits and to power the energy saving relays. Maintain power isolation for the trip relay circuits. The TREG patch panel and PPRO are compatible with Mark VI systems. The TREG connects to the PPRO module via a cable with a molded plug.
The first I/O terminal block is directly wired to the three trip solenoids, the economizing resistors, and the emergency stop. The second terminal block can accept wiring for up to seven trip interlocks.
Operatopn
The J2 power cable and the trip solenoids are the only connections to the control modules since the I/O controller controls all aspects of TREG. When a turbine trips in simplex systems, a third cable transmits a trip signal from J1 to the TSVO terminal board, which operates a servo valve clamp.
