Description
The FC-SDO-0824 is a safety digital output module designed to provide seamless integration and enhanced functionality to optimize operational efficiency.
The S00-0824 safety digital output module has eight 24 Vdc, 550 mA output channels capable of driving loads up to 13 W. These loads may include resistive elements such as lamps or inductive devices such as solenoids. Each output includes suppression diodes for inductive loads to ensure safe operation. These outputs, including suppression diodes, are fully tested for use in safety applications.
During the configured diagnostic test interval, the outputs undergo a variety of tests including ability to power down, ability to power down groups by secondary means, crosstalk between outputs, and function of the suppression diodes. The outputs are divided into two groups of four, each with its own secondary power down means to increase shutdown selectivity in the event of a channel fault. A secondary power down means (SM0D) allows the watchdog and processor to power down the outputs regardless of the outcome of the application function.
